\"第三回　犬戎主大鬧鎬京　周平王東遷洛邑\\n\\n話說申侯進表之后，有人在鎬京探信，聞知幽王命唬公為將，不日領兵伐申，星夜奔回，報知申侯。申侯大惊曰：“國小兵微，安能抵敵王師？”大夫呂章進曰：“天子無道，廢嫡立庶，忠良去位，万民皆怨，此孤立之勢也。今西戎兵力方強，与申接壤，主公速致書戎主，借兵向鎬，以救王后，必要天子傳位于故太子，此伊周之業也。語云：‘先發制人’，机不可失。”申侯曰：“此言甚當。”遂備下金增一車，遣人貴書与犬戎借兵，許以破鎬之日，府庫金帛，任憑搬取。戎主曰：“中國天子失政，申侯國舅，召我以誅無道，扶立東宮，此我志也。”遂發戎兵一万五千，分為三隊，右先鋒李丁，左先鋒滿也速，戌主自將中軍。槍刀塞路，施篩蔽空，申侯亦起本國之兵相助，浩浩蕩蕩，殺奔鎬京而來，出其不意，將王城圍繞三匝，水息不通。幽王聞變，大惊曰：“机不密，禍先發。我兵未起，戎兵先動，此事如何？”貌古父奏曰：“吾王速遣人于儷山舉起烽煙，諸侯救兵必至，內外夾攻，可取必胜。”幽王從其言，遣人舉烽。諸侯之兵，無片甲來者。蓋因前被烽火所戲，是時又以為詐，所以皆不起兵也。幽王見救兵不至，犬戎日夜攻城，即謂石父曰：“賊勢未知強弱，卿可試之。朕當簡閱壯勇，以繼其后。”虢公本非能戰之將，只得勉強應命，率領兵車二百乘，開門殺出。申侯在陣上望見石父出城，指謂戎主曰：“此欺君誤國之賊，不可走了。”戎主聞之曰：“誰為擒之？”孛丁曰：“小將愿往。”舞刀拍馬，直取石父。斗不上十合，石父被李丁一刀斬于車下。戎主与滿也速一一齊殺將前進，喊聲大學，亂殺入城，逢屋放火，逢人舉刀，連申侯也阻當他不住，只得任其所為，城中大亂。幽王未及閱軍，見勢頭不好，以小車載褒姒和伯服，開后宰門出走。司徒鄭伯友自后赶上，大叫：“吾王勿惊，臣當保駕。”出了北門，迤邐望儷山而去。途中又遇尹球來到，言：“犬戎焚燒官室，搶掠庫藏，祭公已死于亂軍之中矣。”幽王心膽俱裂。鄭伯友再令舉烽，烽煙透入九霄，救兵依；日不到。大戎兵追至驪山之下，將儷宮團團圍住，口中只叫：“休走了昏君！”幽王与褒姒唬做一堆，相對而位。鄭伯友進曰：“事急矣！臣拼微命保駕，殺出重圍，竟投臣國，以圖后舉。”幽王曰：“朕不听叔父之言，以至于此。朕今日夫妻父子之命，俱付之叔父矣。”當下鄭伯教人至驪宮前，放起一把火來，以惑戎兵。自引幽王從宮后沖出。鄭伯手持長矛，當先開路。尹球保著褒后母子，緊隨幽王之后。行不多步，早有犬戎兵擋住，——乃是小將古里赤。鄭伯咬牙大怒，便接住交戰。戰不數合，一矛刺古里赤于馬下。戎兵見鄭伯驍勇，一時惊散。約行半里。背后喊聲又起，先鋒李丁引大兵追來。鄭伯叫尹球保駕先行，親自斷后，且戰且走。卻被犬戎鐵騎橫沖，分為兩截。鄭伯困在核心，全無懼怯，這根矛神出鬼沒，但當先者無不著手。犬戎主教四面放箭，箭如雨點，不分王石，可怜一國賢侯，今日死于万鏈之下。左先鋒滿也速，早把幽王車仗擄住。大戎主看見褒袍玉帶，知是幽王，就車中一刀砍死，并殺伯服。褒擬美貌饒死，以輕車載之，帶歸氈帳取樂。尹球躲在車箱之內，亦被戎兵牽出斬之。\",
